The FCA was established in 1941 as a national, not for profit, organization. It has it's headquarters in Vancouver and has had as members such notable artists as Lawren Harris, J.E.H. MacDonald and Emily Carr. It is based in Vancouver, runs a commercial gallery space on Granville Island, and showcases it's members work in a number of juried exhibitions. The Arrowsmith Chapter, one of several chapters on Vancouver Island, has been in existence since the mid 1990's and represents at present fifty artists who are developing, emerging, and professional, and whose objectives are to develop and maintain high standards and quality in their work. The work shown in our current exhibition has been juried digitally by senior members in Vancouver prior to their hanging. Awards have been given as well. Please join us in our celebration.
