Geoff Noble in concert with Jonathan Edwards
South Vancouver Island
Sun. August 8th, 2010 7:30pm
For many years Geoff has been delighting audiences with his voice and songs. An accomplished actor and singer, he is also a profilic songwriter. His music has been featured on television, stage, and radio, and many of his songs have been recorded and covered by other artists. Geoff has also produced educational material that has been played in many schools across Canada; his project "Heroes and Monuments of BC" was placed in every elementary school library in the province. Over the years he has produced 4 albums and 2 CD's of his original songs and music. In the last few years Geoff has also written the songs and music for three musicals.
At home in venues both large and small, Geoff's repertoire is pulled together from many years of writing and performing, and his poetic lyrics, and warm, comfortable stage presence, accompanied by acoustic guitar, always leave his audience happy that they have spent time sharing some of Geoff's music.
Geoff will be joined on stage by Jonathan Edwards, a talented Ottawa-based musician whom Geoff has worked with on many occasions over the years. Together, they will perform 20 songs in a narrative folk style, blending Jonathan's multi-instrument talent and harmony vocals with Geoff's acoustic guitar to explore themes like nature, the northern lights, ships, sailors, and unrequited love. Their set will run for about 90 minutes, with one 15-20 minute intermission.
