The Pacific Baroque Festival is presented by the Victoria Conservatory of Music. A five event Festival featuring world-renowned period performance musicians. The 2010 festival focuses on music by three great composers of the German baroque: Dietrich Buxtehude (1637-1707), who J.S. Bach famously walked 300 km to hear play the organ and experience one of his Sunday Abendmusik concerts, Georg Philip Telemann, who appears in the Guiness Book of Records as the most prolific composer of all time, and the great Johann Sebastien Bach (1685-1750), whose music remains timeless.
